We've spent two days understanding why restoration matters. Today, let's get practical about how it actually works.

Today's Scripture: "If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother." — Matthew 18:15

Reflection:

Jesus didn't leave us to figure out conflict on our own. He gave us a clear, merciful process — and Sunday's sermon walked us through it step by step.

Step one: Go directly to the person. Not to your best friend. Not to social media. Not to a vague post that has twenty people asking "what happened?" Directly to the person. This step alone, the pastor reminded us, resolves things nine times out of ten. Most people had no idea they hurt you.

Step two: If that doesn't work, bring a witness. One or two others who can help both sides understand what actually happened. And here's the hard part — this step might reveal that you're the one who misread the situation. It's a remote possibility. But it's a possibility.

Step three: Involve the church community. In cases where restoration still hasn't happened, the broader community of faith becomes the neutral ground — the modern equivalent of the ancient city of refuge. A place where truth can be spoken and peace can be pursued.

The goal at every step is the same: not to win, not to punish — but to restore the relationship.

Today's Application: Identify which step applies to a conflict you're currently navigating. Commit to taking that specific step this week — not skipping ahead, not going backward. Just the next right step.

A Closing Thought: Jesus gave us this process because He knows restoration is possible. Follow His lead, and trust Him with the outcome.
