Today's Scripture: "Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations." — Deuteronomy 7:9

Reflection: Sunday's sermon included a story that's hard to forget.

A young man grew up in Chicago as the son of an alcoholic father. He carried that wound with him for years, drifting through life until he ended up in Texas — where a woman caught his heart and eventually led him to church.

There, he heard the gospel. He recognized his sin. And he surrendered to Jesus.

That was the turning point — not just for him, but for everyone who would come after him. His son grew up to become a pastor. His grandsons grew up in faith and now use their music to tell others about Jesus.

One man's "yes" to Christ didn't just change his life. It redirected an entire family tree.

This is exactly what Numbers points us toward. God saves us for a purpose. That grandfather had no idea what God was building through his life. He just said yes. And generations later, the fruit is still growing.

You may not see the full harvest of your faithfulness in your lifetime. But God is building something through you that reaches further than you know.
