The Door Is Open — Are You Going In?

The land was ready. The borders were set. The leaders were in place. All Israel had to do was walk in.

Today's Scripture: "Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?" — 1 John 5:5

Reflection:

We've covered a lot of ground this week. We've seen that God's commands are an address, not a cage. We've been honest about how hard it can be to trust that. We've talked about slowing down to actually nourish our souls. We've remembered that we were never meant to do this alone.

Now it's Friday, and the question the pastor closed with on Sunday is still the right one: Where are you in this?

Have you entered in? If you've never surrendered your life to Christ — never crossed that threshold and said, I need you, I believe you, I'm yours — the door is still open. It was opened by Jesus himself, and it hasn't closed. He said, I am the gate. You go through him, and you're in. No hoops. No jargon. No getting cleaned up first. Just come.

And if you're already in the family of God — if you've made that surrender — then the question shifts: Are you cultivating what God has given you? Are you tending the land? Living within the design — not out of fear, but out of love? Growing, studying, showing up for others, leading where you've been nudged to lead?

The borders are a gift. The leaders are a gift. The community is a gift. This weekend, when you gather with your church family, you'll be stepping back into all of that. Come ready to receive it.

Today's Application: Before Sunday, ask God one honest question: Is there a next step you've been nudging me toward that I've been putting off? Then listen — and take the step.

A Closing Thought: The door is open. The land is ready. The only thing left is to walk in — and keep walking.
