We'll Go Home When Everyone's Home

We've come a long way this week. Let's carry it forward.

Today's Scripture: "Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers." — Galatians 6:10

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." — Matthew 28:19–20

Reflection:

All week we've been sitting with the story of Reuben and Gad — two tribes who were blessed, almost settled, and then chose something better. They looked at Moses and made a commitment that still echoes across the centuries:

"We will not return to our homes until each of the people of Israel has gained his inheritance."

Not most. Not the majority. Each. Every single one.

That's the heartbeat of the Great Commission. We go. We make disciples. We teach everything Jesus commanded. And we keep going until the work is done — which, if we're still here, means the work isn't done yet.

This weekend, you'll probably be around people who are still on the east side of the river. Family members who don't know Jesus. Neighbors who are searching. Friends who are carrying weight they don't have to carry alone. You don't need a sermon or a program. You just need to show up as someone who knows where the promised land is — and is willing to walk alongside someone else toward it.

The charge doesn't end on Sunday. It begins there.

Today's Application: As you head into the weekend, carry this question with you: Who in my world needs someone to walk with them toward Jesus? Ask God to give you one moment this weekend to be that person.
