You've made it to Friday. And this week, you've been reminded of something important: you are on a journey that matters, led by a God who has never once lost his way.
Today's Scripture: "Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election. For if you practice these qualities, you will never fall." — 2 Peter 1:10
Reflection: All week we've been tracing a single thread from Sunday's sermon: remember where you've been, embrace the mission you've been given, and trust the God who makes the impossible possible.
Now it's Friday — and the question isn't just what did you learn this week? It's what will you do with it?
Pastor Justin closed Sunday with a challenge that's worth carrying into your weekend: "Will you join God in his mission?" Not someday. Not when life settles down. Now.
That mission begins in your own heart — receiving God's word, allowing it to root out what doesn't belong, and letting it shape you into the person God designed. But it doesn't stop there. It moves outward — to your family at dinner tonight, to your neighbors, to the people you'll sit beside in church on Sunday, to the coworker who doesn't yet know the grace you've been given.
Peter says to be diligent — active, intentional, pressing forward. Not being dragged reluctantly toward God's purposes, but marching toward them. You are headed somewhere good. Don't sit down now.
Today's Application: Before Sunday, identify one person in your life you can intentionally encourage, serve, or point toward hope this weekend. Then do it.
A Closing Thought: You were made for more than waiting. Go into your weekend as someone who knows where they came from, why they're here, and where they're going — and let that change how you love the people around you.
