Chapter 33

Do you have something on your fridge, your shelf, or your wall that takes you back? A photo, a souvenir, a memento that carries a whole story in it?
Today's Scripture: "Moses wrote down their starting places stage by stage by command of the Lord."— Numbers 33:2
Reflection: In Numbers 33, God tells Moses to do something that might seem a little unusual — write down every single place Israel traveled over 40 years. Every camp. Every stop. Every zigzag through the wilderness.
Why? Because it was worth remembering.
Israel's journey wasn't a straight line. It was messy, full of failure, full of waiting. And yet, when you read that long list of places, what you're really reading is a record of God's faithfulness — his provision, his protection, and yes, even his discipline — woven into every stop along the way.
Your life works the same way. The places you've been, the seasons you've survived, the moments you thought would break you — they aren't random. They're a record of what God has been doing. As Pastor Justin reminded us Sunday, "It's worth remembering the journey."
When we look back, we don't just see where we've been. We see how God has carried us. And that memory becomes fuel for the road still ahead.
Today's Application: Take five minutes today to mentally trace your own journey — three or four significant moments where you can now see God's hand at work.
A Closing Thought: The God who was faithful in every one of those moments is the same God walking with you today. He hasn't lost track of you.
