The Gap Is Closed — Come Boldly

Imagine being told that the very presence of God was near — but that going too close could kill you. That was the reality of the Israelites in the wilderness. It's not yours.

Today's Scripture: "Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus... let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings." — Hebrews 10:19, 22

Reflection: This week, we've been sitting with the opening chapter of Numbers. And one of the most striking images in Sunday's sermon was this: the Levites were stationed around the tabernacle — not to keep God away from the people, but to protect the people from approaching God unprepared.

Sin creates a deadly distance. No one could cross it on their own.

But then Jesus came. He fulfilled every requirement of the law. He became the final sacrifice. He bridged the gap that no human being could bridge alone.

And now — because of him — the invitation is not "stay back." It's "come boldly."

As you head into the weekend, carry this with you: you don't have to earn your way into God's presence. You don't have to clean yourself up first. You don't have to wonder if you're worthy enough. Christ made you worthy. The way is open.

When you gather with your church family on Sunday, you're not just attending a service. You're entering the presence of a God who wants you there — because of what Jesus has done.

Today's Application: Before Sunday, spend five quiet minutes in prayer — not with a list of requests, but simply drawing near. No agenda. Just come.

A Closing Thought: The wilderness has a promised land on the other side. Keep walking with Jesus — the way is open, and he's already there.
